ABOUT THE LIVE STEP 1 PREPARATION PROGRAM

Based out of Chicago, Illinois, our Live USMLE Step 1 Preparation Program is a 4-week course that has been created for the ambitious student that wants to put their best foot forward on exam day. Whether you are fresh out of school or have been away for some time, our goal is to ensure your future success on the Step 1 exam. We take each student and evaluate them thoroughly from day 1 based upon their free NBME® exam performance (students receive two (2) free NBME exams), ensuring that their areas of concern are addressed immediately, thus allowing us to help students both as a whole and on an individual basis. Our Program covers each and every aspect of the ‘testable’ material as set by the USMLE organization. We believe that the best way to prepare a student for success on their Step 1 exam is by incorporating a variety of learning techniques, which is what makes our Live Step 1 program both unique and highly effective.

Our goal at the USMLE Success Academy is to provide our students with the best, most effective Step 1 Preparation Program in the shortest amount of time possible. Our focus is on quality, not quantity. We’ve developed the most effective and efficient program in the Country by using the USMLE organization’s outline of ‘testable material’, and put together a highly efficient program that yields outstanding results without wasting your time and money. Not only does our four week Preparation Program get you ready in less time, but if you are coming from out of town you will save money on lodging, food, and transportation as well!

Students requiring accommodations while with us in Schaumburg, Illinois can benefit from discounted rates with the Holiday Inn Express located close to our Center (Hotel Address: 3477 W. Algonquin Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008). Students who stay at this Hotel will benefit from free daily breakfast, free wifi, and free shuttle service to/from our Center, to/from O’Hare International Airport, and to/from the Hotel as long as the destination is within a 5 mile radius of the Hotel. The Success Academy’s students receive a nightly discount at the Hotel only when booking directly on our registration page. The discounted price for the 4 week Hotel stay (the stay begins on the day before classes start and the stay ends on the day after classes finish) is $2,000.00 total for one (1) student with daily breakfast or $2,500.00 total with daily breakfast for two (2) students joining together and/or sharing a double-bed room (students joining in a group can enjoy the benefit of splitting the cost of the Hotel ($1,250.00 per student with daily breakfast). In addition to the Hotel Accommodations, there is also a deli and restaurant located in our Center’s office park, as well as the Woodfield Mall and several other restaurant and shopping options within a 5 mile radius of our Center and the Hotel.

At the Success Academy, not only will we cover our proven step-by-step test-taking and preparation strategies on day #1 for you, we will also develop a unique plan-of-action based on your unique backgrounds and needs following your NBME exam and the Success Academy’s pre-program diagnostic exam performance. The old-school classroom model of lecturing and on-the-spot drilling is not effective, as shown by numerous studies over the last decade, which is why we employ fun, interactive, high-tech teaching tools throughout each and every lecture, every single day. While a comprehensive and focused lecture is necessary at times, you can rest-assured that a portion of your day will include the use of quizzes, USMLE-style questions, and fun quiz-show style games to help you learn, reinforce important information, and ultimately help you become a stronger student and future Physician. With the instant analysis and feedback we provide each student on their in-class quizzes and exams, we can accurately address your weaknesses before you even head home for the day, which is an invaluable tool in ensuring that you get stronger with each passing day as you move through the entire Program.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON A DAILY BASIS
On a daily basis, students can expect a combination of all of the following:
1. Daily lectures run Monday through Friday from 8:00am to approximately 4:00pm (free tutoring sessions follow after each class has ended) and cover of all the subjects being tested on the Step 1 exam as outlined by the USMLE Organization.
2. Daily in-class quizzes and test-taking practice sessions, as wells as after-class practice exams in order to adequately learn and solidify each day’s material
3. Weekly USMLE-style comprehensive practice exams which builds each student’s Step 1 knowledge and test-taking skills, as well as allows our Team of MDs to better guide and assist students by determining their strengths and weaknesses directly from their practice exam results.
4. Educational games that improve retention, recall memory, and build confidence with the required Step 1 material.
5. Free, unlimited 1-on-1 tutoring with an MD available after class each day.
6. Test-Taking Strategy sessions (during week 1 we will perfect your test-taking approach and skills for correctly answering USMLE questions)
7. Tips and strategic guidance on how to properly navigate through the difficulty of the Step 1 exam.

HOW TO GET STARTED
Seats at our Live Step 1 Preparation Program in Chicago, Illinois fill well in advance of each session because space in our classrooms is purposefully limited in order to provide you with the direct 1-on-1 attention you need and deserve. We recommend placing a deposit of $500.00 well in advance of your anticipated start date in order to guarantee your seat. If you would like to register for any of our upcoming 4-week Step 1 Live Preparation Program sessions, please choose from one of the options listed below. You will then be re-directed to our registration page. If you require housing, please be advised that there is a discounted long-term stay Holiday Inn Express located close to our Program Center. If you prefer, we can take care of the hotel booking for you by choosing this option on your registration form.
Once your registration form is received, you will be contacted via email within 6-12hrs to confirm. Seven (7) days prior to your session start date, you will be sent your first free NBME exam and a Welcome Package which includes instructions about our Center, how to get started before classes begin, and the optional hotel accommodations.
